"Cheri, Cheri Lady".

Modern Talking fue un dueto alemán compuesto por Thomas Anders -nacido como Bernd Weidung- y Dieter Bohlen.  A finales de 1983, este grupo sale a la luz, pero en 1985 logran su primer éxito con el tema "You're my heart, you're my soul", el cual será reseñado oportunamente y junto a "Brother Louie", son los temas más reconocidos de este grupo en Colombia.

El 2 de Septiembre de 1985, lanzaron como sencillo el tema que compartiré a continuación, denominado "Cheri, Cheri Lady", recopilado en el álbum "Let's talk about love".  El tema, una digna canción de amor desde la visión musical de este dueto, logró primeros lugares en Austria, en Finlandia, en Noruega, en Suiza, en España, y por supuesto, en Alemania; también logró discos de oro y de plata en Francia y en Alemania, respectivamente.

"Rumores".

Timex Social Club fue un grupo estadounidense especializado en "rhytm and blues" contemporáneo, género al que le añaden elementos del funk, del rock, del hip-hop y del dance al género original propiamente dicho.  

El grupo se conformó en 1983 en la ciudad de  Berkeley, Estado de California, con los músicos Marcus Thompson, Michael Marshall, Gregory Thomas, Craig Samuel y Darren Cleage; tres años después, estos tres últimos músicos abandonan la agrupación, siendo reemplazados por Alex Hill y Kevin Moore y antes de tomar su denominación actual, se denominaban "Timex Crew".  En 1987 el grupo se separa, pero en 

En ese mismo año, lanzaron su único disco de larga duración, denominado "Vicious Rumors", el cual incluye el tema que compartiré a continuación.  El tema, muy bien vocalizado e interpretado por Michael Marshall, cuenta el por qué no debemos lanzar rumores ni nada que se le parezca.  Logró tres primeros lugares en las listas Billboard estadounidenses, otro en Canadá, un segundo puesto en Nueva Zelanda y dos terceros lugares en los Países Bajos.

"Envíame un ángel".

Real Life es una banda australiana creada en 1980, liderada por David Sterry y Richard Zatorski, y secundada por Alan Johnson y Danny Simcic.  En 1983, en su opera prima, presentaron el tema que compartiré a continuación, dentro del álbum "Heartland", junto a su otro éxito, "Catch me, I'm falling".

La banda continuó con su alineación original hasta 1986, cuando Zatorski deja la banda por la excesiva presión de su agente musical y luego de intentar una carrera en solitario, se dedica a la abogacía en la ciudad de Melbourne.  Años después salieron Johnson y Simcic.  Y los reemplazos de Zatorski, Steve Williams y George Pappas, también abandonaron el grupo a su tiempo, dejando solo a Sterry a cargo del nombre de la banda, desconociéndose las razones de estas salidas.

El tema original alcanzó sendos primeros lugares en las listas alemanas y neozelandesas, un segundo lugar en Suiza y destacó en las emisoras australianas y austriacas.  En 1989, después de un burdo intento de Zatorski de lanzar una versión de este tema, la banda lo relanza y retira todas las imágenes donde este tecladista aparece, ya con Williams en la formación, pero escasamente destaca en las listas estadounidenses.

Hoy, como el año pasado, fue un día ocupado.  Otro día sin llamadas, ni muchos mensajes.  Cada vez más, siento que solo soy un espectro.  Así ha llegado mi cumpleaños número treinta y cuatro.  Al menos, sé que no lo pasaré con el estómago vacío.

De resto, solo queda seguir buscando un motivo para sobrevivir...

"Algo empezó a pasarme".

En 1990, Simply Red decide producir un nuevo disco denominado "Stars", el cual se completó al año siguiente y se lanzó el 30 de Septiembre de 1991.  Al iniciarse el proceso de producción en París, la banda de Mick Hucknall no se encontraba cómoda, pues el equipo de producción no llenaba sus expectativas y el entorno sociopolítico mundial hacía imposible componer tan siquiera un tema, gracias a la Guerra del Golfo; decidieron trasladarse a un estudio en Venecia para relajarse y así terminar exitosamente este proyecto que constó de temas completamente originales.

El primer sencillo de esta producción, es el tema que compartiré a continuación.  Lanzado días antes del lanzamiento del disco, es un tema que es vocalizado por el tecladista de la agrupación para esa época, Fritz McIntyre y dirigido por el reconocido cineasta Andy Morahan.  El tema, es una oda a los corazones rotos y a la posibilidad de volver a estar juntos.
