Dentro del mismo disco con el que presentaron "Holding back the years" en 1985, Simply Red incluyó un tema original de The Valentine Brothers, el cual compartiré a continuación, y trata de una persona con ciertos apuros económicos, haciendo mención a las famosas políticas económicas de Ronald Reagan, presidente de los Estados Unidos de América, las cuales fueron denominadas como "reaganomía", buscando el crecimiento económico de ese país durante casi todo su mandato (1981-1989).

El tema interpretado originalmente no tuvo demasiado éxito, pero el grupo de Mick Hucknall tuvo arrestos para convertirlo en un éxito internacional y lo llevó a altas figuraciones en las listas angloparlantes, destacando un segundo lugar en la listas dance de Billboard en Estados Unidos.
