Finalizo mi trilogía de Lordi con esta canción, de mis favoritas.
El 14 de Abril del 2004, Lordi lanza el álbum "The Monsterican Dream", el cual comprende este tema. Originalmente se denominaría "Blood Red Santa", pero un funcionario de BMG en Finlandia pensó que el nombre sería muy ofensivo para la Navidad y que mostraría una imagen violenta de Santa Claus, así que la banda decidió renombrarla a "Blood Red Sandman" conservando la rítmica.
Se cree que la letra tiene referencias tanto a Freddy Krueger como a Jack el Destripador, pero Lordi realmente creó un personaje que difiere de estos personajes del terror y de una versión demoniaca de Santa Claus.
