"Turn back the clock"

"Johnny Hates Jazz" es una banda británica, formada por Mike Nocito y Clark Datchler.  Ambos, hijos de músicos, se conocieron en 1982 y conformaron la banda en 1985, luego de que se le sugiriera a Nocito, en ese tiempo ingeniero de sonido y productor, trabajar junto a Datchler, quien intentaba llevar una carrera como solista.

En 1986, lanzaron su primera canción, "Me and my foolish heart", la cual no tuvo suficiente éxito comercial a pesar de tener cierta sintonía en las emisoras británicas.  Un año después, Datchler escribió el primer gran éxito de la banda, "Shattered Dreams", el cual alcanzó los primeros lugares de las listas europeas y asiáticas.

Datchler dejó la banda en 1988 para enfocarse nuevamente en su carrera como solista,  y volvió a reunirse con Nocito veintiún años después, para resurgir la banda y volver a lanzar nuevas canciones.

La canción que compartiré hoy, "Turn back the clock", es la tercera canción del álbum que lleva ese mismo nombre y que contiene igualmente a "Shattered Dreams" y a "Heart of Gold".  Clark Datchler es el escritor de esta maravillosa pieza y Kim Wilde hace su aparición en ella aportando su voz en algunos pasajes.
